Hey ……. ;
I think it’s great your getting another guitar. The hunt for your electric guitar is quite an exciting adventure. Plus it’s fun researching, asking others, and actually playing different brands and styles of guitars. I have loved playing guitar, mostly professional for 40 years. I own and play many major brands and models of electric guitars. Experience has taught me to use my sense of feel, sound and how well it plays for me…. The Key is to make your final selection of that electric guitar based on how well it plays and sounds and feels to you. You will factor in whatever suggestions we give you or others do.
I would look seriously towards a name brand like Gibson or Fender, these are my favorites. Also, You can answer this question like I do, Simply do you want a used electric guitar or a brand new one? … It’s a no brainer that “used name brand quality guitars” answers my personal research of the way the guitar feels, the sound, and playable action is superior in used name brand guitars. Fender makes several lines of electric guitars including Fender Stratocaster and Telecasters. They are proven and very popular solid body electric guitars and some models have humbucker pickups.

Gibson and Epiphone guitars also have several designs and models of electric guitars. I love the semi hollow and 3/4 size hollow body electric guitars available. BB King and many others play a thin semi-hollow body electric guitar. You will be more familiar with these types of guitars being that you play acoustic guitar now. Full size or 3/4 size hollow electric guitars are played by many well known guitarists in jazz, pop, country… Plus the Gibson - Epiphone solid body electrics are well known to most guitar players… Les Paul, Flying V, SG are good choices.

At least you have some experience with playing acoustic guitar. In your research, be careful of Sales hype and plush looking guitar pictures in magazines or online that can be enhanced to look better digitally… I would never purchase a guitar worth more than a 100- 200 bucks online or mail - freight without first playing it and then putting it through my solid battery of testing and I mean REAL testing. If it passes, I may buy it or take serious notes in my head or written so I may get it later.

Maybe you saw or played a good guitar during your guitar travels in the past. Some of the best guitars I own and play were from word of mouth or being in the right place at the right time.

Print these suggestions along with all the other answers and re-read them. The valuable suggestions will be remembered and you will be more apt to make a better choice. If you just want the name of a few electric guitars, you will still be very happy with my recommendations here. I think you would be much more satisfied with playing several guitar brands both used and new… before acquiring that electric guitar. Oh by the way, exceptional guitar treasures are out there. I have a couple that I found at a garage sale and in the back room of a no name music store. I never knew it then, that they would eventually be worth now, in the 6 figures $$.

Most of all “Have Fun” playing guitar…. In summary; I recommend a name brand electric guitar thats in good used condition. Fender, Gibson, Epiphone or Ibanez.

Here It Is … Word Press TV

Hey, I know I been surviving flood and snow damage, consuming all my time.  It had been a while since last posting.   But I am grateful to have helped lots of people and others helped during this disaster.

The title today - Word Press TV is reality.  I was serching Word Press websites when I found it. Immediately I had to check it out.  It had already launched that same day. WordPress.tv for All Things WordPress

WordPress.TV is another “just what the doctor ordered”  deals.  For me being a noobie to blogging.  I found the short learning videos from WordPress TV as great memory enhancers.  I estimate 10 times more meaningful.   Because Mu orientation is mostly visual and lesser is audio and kinesthrtic. (feeling).

I think this was a great equalizer for those of us that have struggled to grasp the connections.  I honestly dont like to hear or read someone saying, “It’s so easy my child could do it …. or anyone can do this in 10 minutes.”

For me after 3 years Internet Marketing and honestly putting forth about 35 hours a week estimated.  It is not that easy and it is not a fact anyone can do it.  That is hype and most marketers use those lines in thier sales page.  Why? It sells.

I hope most can enjoy the fact that Blogging TV is here to stay.   Here is another WordPress.TV Video

Enjoy

3 Feet of Snow Now Major Flooding

“I write today about the past 5 weeks of beautiful white snow  and making the environment look so serene and peaceful. Yet despite the dynamic beauty and the 3 feet that accumulated at least in my area turns out to be a disaster.  The worst I ever seen here in my life time.

The Pacific Northwest is known for 4 average normal seasons, hardly any extremes in temperature or devastation caused by wind, water or fire.  The deep white snow even gave us a “White Christmas”.

Sooner or later or should I say later than sooner the snow melted slowly than it snowed and melted a few more times before the monsoon rains came and a rise in temperature.  Perfect formula for massive water running down the mountains.  The creeks overflowed and rivers spilling over the flood lines into neighborhoods, natural surroundings, business.  Wiping out homes, cars, property.  Mudslides and avalanches also wreaked their destruction sloshing down massive mud and trees crashing into homes and destroying roads.  Daring rescues were made and people were stranded.  I saw one person standing only on a tree stump with nothing but  flowing water passing by.  A helicopter later saved him.

So My home was spared somewhat without to much harm.  My garage and some items inside got water damage.  My land looks like it’s ready to slide away.  Definitely it feels like quicksand when I walk over it from a water table thats full to the brim.  I ‘ve dug trenches and helped the community fill sandbags. Checking on family and friends I spent many hours shoveling and sweeping snow, ice, water and mud away … And it’s raining again now even though the water level’s have dropped … were not out of the woods yet.

I know some of you where ever you may live have had your share of natural disasters in hurricanes, floods, fires, volcanoes, typhoons, landslides, tsunamis.

I am grateful to all that help and spared thier personal resources in times of need.  I hope for the best, because I know there is sunshine behind all those gray clouds in the sky

Site Maps Save the Day

I discovered Site Maps one day surfing the world wide web.  After using the Internet since its inception I thought I was pretty good at navigating websites and getting the information I wanted rather easily.  But I have noticed more so than not that lots of Websites are including and using a link usually posted on the first page, every page or back page of their websites.  Its there as a quick and easy link reference to what your looking for.

I will use eBay’s Site Map as an example here .   You may have noticed how huge eBay is from the standpoint of traffic and auction related information that is contained, viewed and used massively within eBay’s Webpages .  After a while I start to get lost somewhat going from link to link and then usually I end up somewhere  within eBay’s website pages that is interesting and new….. But usually I have forgotten what I originally was looking for by then.  Even though the information I found was worth while.

Well if time management is on your agenda like mine is now,  then try clicking the link called “Site Map” which is located on most “My eBay” pages.  Its in the upper right hand corner… at least its there on my opening “My eBay” page.  Site Map takes you to an eBay page that is filled with links - categorized and in alphabetical order.   Every place you ever wanted to go and places and information that definitely will surprise you what is available to you as a visitor, buyer or seller.  Also you can find the Site Map link in the footer section on each web page.

Examples there are categories in Selling and Buying.  With subcategories added to those.  Policies and procedures, Educational, eBay and Pro Web Stores, Resources, Help Section, Searching category, Accounts, Community, Groups, Forums, Blogs, Whats Hot section,  Tools and News and about 150 estimated links.

The cool part is it’s all in one place. So if your looking for a particular and specific topic you will be in luck because it’s most likely right there on the Site Map ready for you to explore and utilize.

If your a new person to eBay this is a valuable area to explore the rules and regulations in using eBay.  Veterans will find the Site Map as a necessary tool in their daily business at eBay.  And if your just plain browsing the Site Map will make your journey quite interesting and fun.

Guitar Art Brought To You By Dizizbizniz

I plan to open a new website and the main theme will be, “Guitar Artifacts New Hand Made Wooden Guitar Crafts for Anybody.”

Guitar artifacts or Guitar Art, in other words, “unique original hand made wooden guitar crafts.” The 6 string guitar in general is the core figure used in my developing and creating 100’s of craft designs and projects all related to the guitar.

I am The Designer - Owner - 45 year veteran guitar player - Lead and rhythm specialties both live and recording artist. I will share some of my trade secrets here in this blog post. The initial - creative ideas came about over 20 years ago during a trip to the Pacific Ocean and observing drift wood pieces at the surf’s edge in various shapes and sizes.

I recall having the visual design of an acoustic 6-string guitar used as a planter for house plants. Picture in your mind a guitar and just below the sound hole on the guitar face, I developed and constructed a removable yet very sturdy half moon shaped shelf. So if the viewer were to observe this guitar planter directly in front of them, they would see a guitar hanging normally on a secure wall hanger with a shelf on the guitar face with a very cool leafy plant climbing and twisting around the neck of the guitar.

Approximately summer of 2007, I had a flood of guitar design ideas circulating in my brain. I resorted to using a software program that an online marketer friend referred to me, called “Freemind”…. The Layout allowed me methods of keeping my creative ideas fresh and placed on the page where I can add more ideals, details, structure, a plan, even types of wood, tools, finishes, a market of buyers, advertising and of course mainly the creative plans and projects made with the 6 string guitar as a prototype.

Earlier I mentioned a flood of ideas. Actually there are 100’s of ideas and plans in place, but not all these projects have been manufactured as of yet. Between me, my circle of friends and business acquaintances think these items are surely to become collectors items. In fact I want to include a certificate of authenticity with every finished project and a serial number.

Let me give you a few examples: “Guitar Clocks” for desks, walls, car, work site, music rooms and even attached to the musicians guitar case. The miniature guitar crafts are skillfully crafted from a variety of hard and soft woods, even flooring and pieces of plywood or hardboard. Different colors, styles, shapes constructed from Cedar, Mahogany, Poplar, Pine, Oak, Curly Maple, Ash, Douglas Fir, Hemlock, Birch, Cherry and Walnut.

Amazingly I can offer these projects in about any size you can think of. Yes, I do recall those special moments dreaming up 100’s of related guitar artifacts and yes I saved them on computer and on paper… ‘including the design for a Guitar Car” and Solid wood Guitar lapel Pins, the smallest being about 3/4 inch long.

Other designs include early production of guitar lamps, guitar puzzles, guitar planters, guitar trivia, guitar picture frames, mirrors, pins, and mobiles, stands, and musical notes. For example he not only makes guitar artwork but also, fiddles, banjo’s, mandolins, bass, 12 string, piano, dulcimer, rock (this one is really cool) engraved and custom designed cuttings.

You will have to see this next one . I finished a beautiful sounding guitar door bell…. this beautiful looking guitar is hollow, about 24 ” long and 1 1/2″ wide. It’s attached to any normal door. The guitar sounds are activated thus by opening or closing the door where it securely hangs. Attached Wooden balls on strings then swing out and drop - plucking down on the strings thus producing a welcome array of guitar musical notes. This is totally awesome.

I thing this great sounding guitar art piece will be talked about for a long time not only for design but as a well constructed guitar artifact,.. You can even tune this to play your favorite jingle.

I have a custom hand made remarkable guitar piece where I scroll sawed beautiful designs all over the body and neck of the solid wood guitar. Let me remind you that usually guitars get better with time not only better sounding and playing but also the value increases.

One should care enough not to damage or leave the guitar crafts in extreme temperature changes…. I can relate to my personal collection of full sized guitars which over my 45 year career have been proud to play and take special pride in ownership. Two of my Vintage 1960 and 1970 Gibson guitars are worth well over 10,000 dollars. Taking good quality care has been a wise choice.

I can tell you that each guitar artifact receives special consideration… Meaning, I get so creative that I actually take the time to imitate playing these instruments, as though I am a kid imagining being a race car driver or role playing kids games….. although that’s not the intended outcome, its just the unknown behind the scenes care and quality time I invest in each piece….

I do confide my project ideas with potential buyers that request to purchase mass quantities. Because at this point in time I am the only one that touches begins and finishes these beautiful Guitar artifacts. You should seriously think about picking up a few of these early original pieces.

I plan to market my Guitar Artifacts online with eBay, Amazon, other auction or craft sites and personal websites and blogs. For your information I can tell you I plan on a huge surprise to be unraveled soon and maybe in public in your area…. Yes, You will definitely want what I have to offer you here….

These guitar artifacts are great gifts for musicians of all ages, music teachers, students, business places, galleries, indoors or outdoors, in different cultures and worldwide.

Can you imagine someday finding out that your “Guitar Clock” on your desk or that “Guitar lapel Pin” you wear is worth a small fortune ?….

Or Maybe you would like to be affiliated with me and these Guitar artifacts. I do welcome all your comments and ideas.

In closing, i like to remind you of a past musical memory. In a future produced newsletter or book of Guitar Trivia I will quote this question, “Do you know the name of the most requested song of all time on the radio? OK, then, “What was the bands name?” “The guitar player’s name?” Then, hint - hint, Oh yes, this is a guitar song well known and loved obviously by millions of listeners , not just musicians.

New Stores on Auctiva… eBay Says OK

I subscribe to Auctiva, a third partysite that is well known for helping eBay Sellers with free listing templates and more. They are announcing Auctiva commerce their own online stores for free until March 2009. They say their features and prices are the best plus putting it all together is easy and manageable. Apparently you can lock a $9.95 a month price if done prior to the March deadline.
Details can be found here http://www.auctivacommerce.com/?how=promoemail

Starting in January 2009, you will be able to open your own off-eBay store using Auctiva Commerce or check this out:

I haven’t started an eBay store like I wanted to by now but I still probably will. It will be an ebook, media, and physical items store. Most gurus say I should sell only one niche item per store. Not all guru information works for everyone and if i keep listening to these rich gurus, (names withheld for now) I might not make any money. We’ll leave this topic for further discussion.

Here is link to a one page eBay site that has really cool stuff.

The World Revolves Around … Who?

The World Revolves Around … Who? Part of me is asking and answering that question. The World Revolves Around Us, not me and not you... But if it’s OK I would like to share with you a little more abut me in this post.

I can truly say that What ever I usually set my mind to do I do it… Even when most would falter or quit I have a motto which I tell my self, “I will never Quit” Even during stressful times and when others have blatantly stolen and scammed me during this past year.

That also has effected my learning ability and my memory is not up to par. My mental health background in diagnosis mental health patients reveals a case of Post traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD. Which is a combination of several extreme symptoms of anxiety rooted deep in my soul where fear causes panic symptoms, overwhelming thoughts and feelings, poor decision making and problem solving, depression, isolation and more. Its similar to a combat victim or a person that has been raped or abused severely.

I will overcome this and bring those 2 people to justice that stole $50,000 dollars from me, my life;s savings. Enough of that for now, thanks for listening.

I enjoy having a balanced lifestyle. I have a Masters Degree in Behavioral Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Music. I love the discovery that happens all around us. I like to share my wisdom, and hope that others may benefit… I consider myself a positive minded guy that rarely goes into debates or arguments, Instead I live in the solution and be happy….

I am a middle of the road dude that can do and think and even cry. By the way real men do cry. I can be anything I want and I can do anything I want and somehow manage to give that away by saying You can to…

Who is Robert Diz?

Who is Robert Diz? And his “Blog by Robert Diz”

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen – Guys and Gals in here and out there. Hope your days are mostly great … Filled with purpose and a positive direction.  This Reminds me of Shakespeare’s famous quote, “To be or Not To Be…”  hmmmm…. Which do you choose to be?

Before I continue you may be curious about who I am? My Name is Robert Diz Dismore and I am the creator of this “Blog by Robert Diz.” And if you guessed how my nickname – “Diz” came about…You win First Prize. Nickname is “Diz” derived from my last name …Dismore.

One of my super interests throughout life has been in variety. There is an enormous wide range of topics, including work, family, entertainment, social, wellness, spiritual, education, cultural, technology, are just a few. Do you have multi experiences in variety? Here is a good question about how to define variety. Do you tend to listen to the same radio station most of the time or do you enjoy listening to several stations that sorta fits your mood for the moment or day? Well I am sure you have great experience in your life from A-Z

To report that I am an expert or being very confident in many topics and life skills used to be hard to say. But once I started to believe in me, especially from the inside, I became part of instead of apart from. I can usually fit in and communicate in this giant vast world we live.

Some people are accustomed to being an expert in one thing, and I am sure thats OK. Some interact well with others in bigger situations and some prefer to have smaller circles of co-existing.   Some are leaders and some are followers. There are good guys and bad guys, and yes the same for good girls and bad girls. Some people like to work for others and bring home the weekly checks, while others especially these days are entering some sort of self-employment or home business of their own

I really have been a fair person and living proof of coming back when the chips were down and out and I didn’t like this thing called life.  I ‘ll talk about that at another time.

But there is a purpose and I have have been fortunate to receive some expert guidance and suggestions from others because I believed in their values.  I saw something I liked and I learned what they did and applied it to my own style and personality.

Briefly my work history can be categorized in a fairly wide range of jobs.  Including counseling psychology as a teacher and counselor.  I still am an excellent guitar player after 45 years playing Fender Stratocasters and Gibson Guitars. I even worked in a hospital and drove delivery truck, and worked in a factory. I helped build some houses, and worked hard in land scaping. I even cooked donuts. I was in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and learned to be a maintenance man that is similar to what a Handy man is defined as doing. Example; Carpentry, plumbing, electrician, painter, welder, repairman and many others including lawn and garden work.

Worth noting, I am attempting to develop my 3rd Blog… The other 2 are not active I think. I was pumped up to do these but I lacked direction and a few important tips like make it run smoother.. One Blog kept appearing in Chinese writing? I like Chinese writing but I was using English.. Go figure that one? I needed to ask more questions how they work… It was like a foreign world even though I have been around computers since 1989.

I understand the need for quality information ….. believe me there is a lot of good stuff and yes you guessed it,  a lot of bad stuff too.  I have followed several top notch players in business and marketing, etc over the years… some are very gifted and creative when it comes to applying money making activities… and some are just full of _—-,  using persuasion techniques and poor customer service…

I always believed in equality and to share equally tasks and duties whether in the home, a club or a business … So I think there will be an interesting variety of topics yet to be revealed here… I am looking forward to hearing what your thoughts are, experience, how well others have benefited from your skills and experiences…

This is really cool, and I have seen it countless times where a person or even a group of people finally turn on the lights in their mind to doing things differently.  Doing it another way and getting the results that are motivating and worth while…

The First Day …

Today is the first day after Christmas. Also it’s the first day of posting in my new blog. And as a matter of fact it’s the first day that 30 inches of record snow outside my house is beginning to melt.

All things said about Christmas, Blogging, and the Snowy weather have been displayed, written and spoken about in some sort of fashion. Through the media whether it’s TV, on the Internet, or print media.

This is also the first day that I felt more relaxed. Those other 3 first day events were so long and required a bunch of my time. Especially the beautiful white winter wonderland blanket of snow thats been here for 2 weeks. I like to say that I stayed indoors where it’s warm. Also most might think that would give a person more time for indoor projects or for me working my Internet business. Actually it took away the time because I has to remove snow constantly off several areas on my property and house. I did notice today the weight of the snow had ripped a nice 3 foot section in my carport roof. Mending that today took some real energy because it was wet and it was cold and it froze my fingers off. Well not really but the pain was excruciating.

I look outside my window with a dynamic view of mountains and trees still covered with massive snow. It really is beautiful and a record snowfall. I listened to my scanner with all the wreckage and cars and buildings and houses sustaining weather related damage … Somehow I managed to get around in my 4 wheel drive truck, a few visits here and there and a Christmas with the family. I can say my only needed trips driving in this snow were without incident of any damage to me or others or my vehicle…

I can remember my first and hopefully last time time sliding off a icy road about 15 years ago. For no reason at all I was carefully driving on a straight stretch of road when my company vehicle began doing fishtails in middle of the road. I slid off the icy pavement, overturned the vehicle in a small ditch, totaled the vehicle and ended up with only a few bruises. That first time began a long series of respect for mother nature and driving or even being a passenger while someone else drives

… So I guess I had quite a few “First’s” today.
